Life Academy – General Terms and Conditions for Participation and Website Use
1. Participation Requirements
- Participants must be able to travel independently to the training location.
- All participants are responsible for organizing their own travel to and from the training. Participants may also arrange their own accommodation if desired. Life Academy cannot be held liable for lost or stolen items or missed days of training due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Participants must be motivated to learn and open to new experiences.
- Participants must be in stable mental health and not currently at risk of harming themselves or others.
- Participants agree not to consume alcohol or drugs for the duration of the training. Violation of this rule may result in immediate removal from the training without refund.
- Life Academy has a zero-tolerance policy for:
- Racism
- Discrimination
- Hate and hateful speech
- Drugs and alcohol
- Participants engaging in such behavior may be removed from the training without further explanation.
2. Reservation and Payment
- Attendees are instructed to carefully read these terms and conditions prior to making a reservation. By registering for a Life Academy training, participants are entering a binding contract confirming that they are able to provide full payment and will adhere to all terms and conditions.
- Life Academy reserves the right to cancel a participant’s registration at any time without providing a reason.
- Each training includes a €300 reservation and holding fee. In case of cancellation, this fee is non-refundable and will be deducted from any potential refund.
- Full payment must be received before the start of the training. Participants who have not paid in full prior to attending will not be permitted to participate, even if they have arranged their own travel and accommodation. Payment on-site may allow attendance at a later date.
- Accepted payment methods: bank transfer or other methods specified by Life Academy. PayPal and credit card payments are not accepted.
- All participants are required to arrange their own travel, liability, and health insurance prior to attending the training. Life Academy cannot be held liable for any costs, losses, or damages associated with travel, insurance, or health-related issues.
- We strongly recommend that all participants purchase travel insurance to cover potential cancellations, delays, or unforeseen circumstances. Life Academy may consider individual cases but is not obligated to provide financial compensation.
3. Accommodation & Travel
- Limited on-site accommodation may be available. Life Academy partners with nearby residences where accommodation can be included in the fee.
- Participants are free to arrange their own accommodation and transportation.
- Life Academy is not responsible for the safety, conditions, or services of independently arranged accommodations or transportation.
4. Cancellation & Refund Policy
- Cancellations made more than 4 weeks before the start date: 50% refund of the paid amount (minus the non-refundable €300 holding fee).
- Cancellations made within 2 weeks of the start date: non-refundable.
- In cases of illness or unforeseen circumstances, Life Academy will endeavor to find a replacement participant if possible. Proof may be requested.
- In the event of force majeure (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics, travel restrictions, strikes), Life Academy reserves the right to postpone or cancel the training. Full refunds or rescheduling options will be provided.
5. Health & Safety
- Participants confirm they are physically and mentally capable of participating and able to follow instructor guidance during activities.
- Participants agree to follow all health and safety guidelines during training.
- Participants showing symptoms of illness should reschedule or withdraw without penalty.
- Life Academy reserves the right to update health and safety rules in line with official guidance.
6. Liability
- Participants assume all risk related to participation, including physical, emotional, and property risks, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by Life Academy.
- Life Academy is not responsible for loss, theft, damage, or accidents during the training or travel.
- Participants are responsible for obtaining appropriate travel, liability, and health insurance.
7. Additional Provisions
- Participants agree that professional photos and videos taken during the training may be used for promotional or reporting purposes unless they explicitly request otherwise.
- Participants agree to keep phones on airplane mode or hand them in during training sessions. Personal recording of photos, videos, or audio is prohibited.
- All training materials are for personal use only. Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use is prohibited without explicit permission.
- Life Academy provides training to enhance personal development. It is not a substitute for therapy, medical consultation, or mental health diagnosis. Life Academy collaborates with mental health experts to provide proven methods, but cannot be considered a replacement for certified psychologists or psychiatrists.
8. Code of Conduct
- Participants must conduct themselves respectfully and courteously toward fellow participants and staff.
- Disruptive or inappropriate behavior may result in removal from the training without refund.
9. Privacy, Data Protection & GDPR
- Personal data is collected and processed solely for organizing and managing participation in Life Academy trainings.
- Data will be stored securely and not shared with third parties without explicit consent, except as required by law.
- Participants can request access to, correction of, or deletion of their personal data at any time by contacting us.
- Participation constitutes agreement with Life Academy’s Privacy Policy:Life Academy respects your privacy and protects your personal data in line with EU GDPR and Austrian law.
What We Collect:

- Payment information for registrations

- Optional sensitive info if provided for trainings (e.g., mental health)

11. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
- These terms are governed by the laws of Austria.
- Any disputes arising from these terms will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Austria.
12. Severability
- If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
